ALMA, Wis. (AP) — Law enforcement officials have arrested a woman and seized more than $200,000 in fake pot in Alma.
According to the Buffalo County sheriff's department, members of multiple law-enforcement agencies raided the home believed to be the base for a trafficking operation on Dec. 21.
They seized an unknown quantity of the synthetic cannabinoid commonly referred to as K2, along with packaging and processing equipment, a firearm, and a 2004 Monte Carlo.
The Winona Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/txlnkV ) charges are pending against the 40-year-old woman arrested, as well as a 25-year-old man authorities believe was involved in the operation. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
Synthetic cannabinoids were banned in Minnesota and Wisconsin this year as well as other states across the country.
