It may be the busiest time of year. You're doing more shopping, entertaining and cooking than normal, but Dr. Ariane Getz warns against taking on too much.

Dr. Getz says you don't have to say yes to everything. Also, get plenty of sleep, exercise and eat well. The holidays can also be time when you're missing a loved one.
Dr. Ariane Getz - Prairie St. Johns:: "Cry if you need to, express your feelings, do something special to honor that loved one that you're not able to spend this time with."
While winter may be associated with depression, Dr. Getz says suicide rates are actually down this time of year. That's because the holidays are a time when families and friends come together. So if you know someone who's depressed, you're encouraged to reach out.
