Five people were injured in a rollover on the overpass of I-29 and Gateway Drive in Grand Forks at about 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say a Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 45-year-old John Harder of Grunthal, MB, was heading southbound on I-29. 21-year-old Elizabeth Halvorson of East Grand Forks was entering the interstate heading southbound at the Gateway Avenue interchange.

Halvorson was accelerating as she was entering the interstate and lost control of her vehicle, which then rear-ended Grunthal's vehicle. Halvorson's vehicle then rolled into the median.

Grunthal and his three passengers were taken to Altru with minor injuries.

Halvorson remained at the scene and was taken to Altru to be checked over. She was later cited for care required.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
