Three weeks into December and the calendar finally says winter, but it still doesn't feel like it. Now city parks and recreation departments are feeling the heat. The City of Moorhead has postponed its popular sleigh rides scheduled for the week after Christmas. The rides were cancelled due to no snow. The rides usually take place at MB Johnson in north Moorhead.
Tara Ekren – Moorhead Parks and Recreation: “They've been going on for a really long time and I only know of one other the time that it's been cancelled due to no snow. On one hand it's unfortunate, but on the other hand, it's kind of nice that we have great weather.”
Moorhead will be opening up its ice rinks for the first time this year tomorrow and Saturday. Most of Fargo's are open now.
