Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A generous donor has struck again, dropping a gold krugerrand into a Salvation Army Red Kettle.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
A generous donor has struck again, dropping a gold krugerrand into a Salvation Army Red Kettle. It happened Tuesday at the Sunmart on 32nd Avenue South. The 1957 South African Krugerrand is worth $1,700. It was wrapped in a dollar bill so the donor would remain anonymous. The Salvation Army also says someone donated a half-ounce American Eagle gold coin worth $440. The Salvation Army is about a quarter of a million dollars short of its goal of $810,000 this year.
