Nebraska murder suspect waives extradition from North Dakota

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (AP) — A North Dakota judge has ordered a South Sioux City man back to Nebraska to face a murder charge in the death of his girlfriend.

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (AP) — A North Dakota judge has ordered a South Sioux City man back to Nebraska to face a murder charge in the death of his girlfriend.

Fifty-three-year-old John Baker is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 47-year-old Kelly Aslpach. Her body was found on Oct. 21 stuffed in a window seat in their home. An autopsy showed she died of blunt force trauma to the head and asphyxia.

Baker was arrested Oct. 24 at a relative's house in Garrison, N.D.

KTIV-TV in Sioux City, Iowa, (http://bit.ly/vN3zrs) says McLean County State's Attorney Ladd Erickson says a judge on Wednesday ordered Baker to be returned to Nebraska within 10 days.
