Three arrested in Moorhead meth bust

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Moorhead Police say they’re concerned because the number of narcotics arrests is on the rise. Today three people are facing serious jail time after a meth bust.

Moorhead Police say they’re concerned because the number of narcotics arrests is on the rise. Today three people are facing serious jail time after a meth bust.

The AmericInn and Suites is the sight of the most recent methamphetamine drug bust in Moorhead. Police say it's the third meth bust this month.

Lt. Tory Jacobson – Moorhead Police Department: “Obviously there's a demand there because they are bring the product to distribute it.”

It totaled out to more than 64 grams of Crystal Meth, that's a street value of about $12,000. Paul Austin, Nicole Brown and Jason Keller were all arrested in connection with the bust. Police also seized two loaded firearms. One had the serial number scratched off. All three people will be facing multiple felony charges.

Tory Jacobson: “Our investigators will be very deliberate in their execution of these search warrants, working on information, and no reason to expect they are going to go any less in the future.”

Police say they don't know where the drugs came from, but it is still an open and active investigation. Small amounts of marijuana were also discovered at the scene.
