A friendly competition put bell ringers at red kettles for a total of 930 hours in Fargo-Moorhead. Police officers, firefighters and realtors took part in the challenge with each group ringing bells for 10 hours at 30 or more kettles. It put the Salvation Army about $66,000 closer to its final goal. Police came in 3rd, then realtors, and with $28,000 raised the firefighters graciously accepted the top spot.

Matt Nelson – Fargo Firefighter: β€œIt's always a pleasure to be in competition with you guys, the community benefits, that's who we do this for and the salvation army, and the realtors hats off to you guys thank you so much for putting this all together.”

The Red Kettle Campaign is currently at 63% of its $810,000 goal.
