Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- The Grand Forks Public Library hosted its 4th annual "Kids in the Kitchen" for kids in kindergarten to 6th grade.
Children packed into the library, anxious to learn tips from chef, Noelle Myers.
Noelle Myers (Chef): "Just like to pass my passion onto somebody else and I like to do something where the kids can be hands on and maybe learn to eat a little bit healthier."
Myers enjoys making creations in the kitchen and wants to inspire kids, holiday cooking can be fun.
Noelle: "Something that they can do themselves, it's almost like a craft but they can eat it, that they would have fun, learn a little bit about food"
Sacha Ridley (Food lover): "Eh I like sweets more."
Even though the snacks involved something else rather than sweets and chocolates the kids still couldn't stop from stuffing their face.
Matthew Ridley (Food lover): "This one's the best one."
Sacha: "I always like it when I come to kids in the kitchen because I learn so much and you can cook as much as you want."
The UND women's basketball team joined in on the fun and couldn't stop from chowing down either.
Nicole: "We like to get out in the community and show that we care and give them the support they've given us back."
