Playoff Pride: NDSU clothing and memorabilia getting bought up in a hurry

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Stores are swarmed with Bison fans ready to get their hands on green and gold merchandise.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Stores are swarmed with bison fans ready to get their hands on green and gold merchandise.

Nick Parslow traveled three and a half hours, from Leeds, North Dakota to watch his favorite team play. He always makes it a point to be at every NDSU bison football game.

Nick: “We were there yesterday and it was amazing it was so loud in the dome.”

As the fourth quarter began in Saturday's big game, Parslow had only one thing in mind.

Nick: “I was thinking half way through the fourth quarter, can I get tickets, can I afford to go, how am I going to get there.”

He and his girlfriend fought the excited crowd, all in hopes of snagging some of the first championship shirts and sweaters. But they didn't get lucky.

Nick: “They were sold out, we didn't get there quick enough so we came here right away, as soon as we checked out of the motel today came here to buy shirts.”

Scheels employees say this parking lot was packed even before the store opened. Full of Bison Fans ready to get their hands on championship gear.

Jared Vanlaecken (Scheels Employee):”They started printing them right after the game and everything and we were here late last night getting stuff in and early this morning checking it all in so everybody could get their stuff today.”

Scheels College gear associate Jared Vanlaecken says all these late nights and early mornings are well worth it.

Jared: “We were running around with our heads cut off a little bit but it definitely has been fun.”

While many fans will be getting championship memorabilia for Christmas, Parslow says there is only one thing that would be better than that: A Win for the Bison January 7th.
