The Bison March on to their Destination

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The game plan for NDSU was simple, stop the vaunted Georgia Southern triple option which came in averaging 334 rushing yards a game, but thanks to the returns of Colten Heagle, the Bison defense stole the show, holding GSU to just 7 points as NDSU will make its first national championship game appearance in 21 years.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The biggest game in the history of the FargoDome. NDSU battled Georgia Southern for a spot in the FCS National Championship.

It's been a long wait. 21 years and 9 days to be exact, but NDSU will once again play for a national championship.

And that decision to transition to Division one is paying off.

The crowds have been packed to the rafters throughout this playoff push.

No exception for today's Semifinal tilt against 6-time National Champion Georgia Southern.

The Bison are headed to the FCS Championship. 35-7 the final. What a game from the defense! They hold GSU, a team averaging 37 points, to just 7 points and 186 yards on the ground. NDSU meanwhile, racked up 451 total yards.
