A Fargo non-profit is getting a big boost from a big box store. Someone anonymously nominated "The Caring Closet" at First United Methodist Church for the 12 Days of Giving Facebook Campaign. Out of more than 5,400 submissions, the Wal-Mart Foundation selected 145 winners across the country. The Caring Closet was awarded $7,500 to help with its efforts in providing free, gently used clothing and supplies for families in need.
Phyllis Crowe – Caring Closet Volunteer: “It ensures we will have diapers for the next year or so and I think that will be beneficial to the people that come here.”
Over the 12 days, Wal-Mart will have given $1.5 million nationwide.
