Flood buyout homes were going for as low as one dollar, but no one showed up to place a bid. Realtor Greg Anderson says he isn't happy with the turn out, but he expected it.
There were 5 homes up for sale, and only two of those homes were new to the auction. The other three were rolled over from last month's sale. Anderson says with the holidays right around the corner, people may not be in the buying mood, but he hopes next month's auction will have a far better turn out.
Greg Anderson – Sales Associate: “Next month we are going to pick up quite a few very nice homes so were just going to watch it as it goes, so we've got a couple of large two story homes that we know are going to be really hard to move, so we just have to try to sell them and if they don't sell were going to look for other options.”
The next auction will be January 19th at the Clay County Court House. There will be five new homes added to the auction. Bids must be in by 12:45.
