Judge sentences North Dakota man to 20 months for bar fight

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota man has been sentenced to nearly two years in prison for attacking a man with a utility knife.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota man has been sentenced to nearly two years in prison for attacking a man with a utility knife.

Kyle Star, of Parshall, was charged in federal court with assault with a dangerous weapon. Prosecutors say the assault happened in May at Average Joe's Bar in Parshall.

The 33-year-old Star is accused of cutting the victim in the back after an argument.

U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland sentenced Star to 20 months in prison. The charge carried a maximum term of 10 years.
