BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The Pride of Dakota holiday showcases in North Dakota this year set a record for attendance.
State Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says more than 30,000 people took part in the events in Grand Forks, Fargo and Bismarck over the past month. That was an increase of more than 2,000 people from the previous record set last year.
Goehring says each of the three showcases also set individual attendance records.
Pride of Dakota is a state program that helps North Dakota companies promote and market their products. More than 500 companies are members. The holiday showcases give shoppers a chance to browse their products, in one location.
