Law enforcement went off the streets; instead patrolled the aisles of Walmart in Fargo, but not to look for shoplifters. It's the 17th Annual Shop with a Cop. The program pairs disadvantaged children in Cass County with police. The purpose...provide a brighter holiday. Each child gets 75 dollars to go on a shopping spree to buy gifts for themselves or family.

Rhonda Jorgensen – West Fargo Police Dept: “The kids just really enjoy it, they get to spend time with local law enforcement, kind of get to know us as more on a personal level, and that we are people, so it is fun for them and its fun for us.”

The kids and officers had lunch paid for by McDonald's after that shopping excursion.
