Home buyers in Moorhead had a chance to look at a couple of homes for sale during a different kind of open house. The Clay County Flood Mitigation Buyout Homes will be auctioned off.

Relator Greg Anderson says this open house is just like any ordinary open house. It allows the buyer to see what their getting for their money they might potentially spend. Both of these homes were acquired in November by Clay County. They are now up for sale to be moved by June 30th. With this open house, potential owners get to see what they are buying before they place either a high or low bid.

Anderson hopes this open house will make this an even better auction than the last one.

Greg Anderson – Sales Associate: “People that have an interest in moving a house, they get a chance to come look through the house like you would at a normal open house so they can see what they are getting, they can take measurements and determine if it will fit their location.”

Bids for these homes need to be in by 12:45 Thursday to the Clay County planning and zoning office the day of the auction.
