JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Authorities using a remote-operated vehicle with cameras and sonar were unsuccessful in finding a man authorities believe fell through the ice while fishing on the Jamestown Reservoir Sunday.

The equipment is on loan from the Duluth, Minn., Ice Rescue Team and part of officials' latest attempt to locate 49-year-old Darrin Ackermann of Jamestown.

Divers have been combing the water this week, and authorities also have searched the shoreline and cabins.

Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther tells The Jamestown Sun that search crews will take the weekend off and continue the search with two remote-operated vehicles Monday morning.
