An early Christmas present for area children in need that will mean many good nights of sleep. At the crack of dawn Slumberland employees, with help from the Knights of Columbus and the Presentations Sisters, loaded 32 beds into trucks and delivered them to children who don't have beds to sleep on. Wal-Mart and Target donated sheets and a gift bag, and Vicki Meyer and Shirley Hill donated hand-made quilts, to go with the mattresses and box springs.

Frank Kenitzer – Slumberland General Manager: “To see the look in the children's eyes when they have a bed - and some of them for the first time - you just can't replace that feeling - it makes you feel like you're doing something very important>

This is the 17th annual Homes for the Holiday’s event. Nationwide 2,000 beds are being donated this year.
