Wacht attorney wants evidence suppressed

The lawyer for a man accused of killing an NDSU researcher wants some of the evidence suppressed. Daniel Wacht is accused of killing Kurt Johnson in Cooperstown last January. Wacht's lawyer says authorities didn't have probably cause to search his van and home. Authorities found Johnson's severed head in Wacht's basement. The rest of his body has not been found. The judge will rule on the request to suppress the evidence next week.
