Cass County Commissioners unanimously deny annexation petitions

15 of the 19 residents of Pleasant Township voted to be de-annexed.
Cass County Commissioners have voted unanimously to deny petitions by a group of Cass County homeowners asking to leave Cass County and be annexed into Richland.
The vote was 6-0. Commissioners said if the group didn't feel they were being supported in the diversion talks, they could vote to elect new officials the next time they vote. 15 of the 19 residents of Pleasant Township voted to be de-annexed.
