MINOT, N.D. (AP) — A flood-displaced Minot couple opened its FEMA trailer for the 2011 Holiday Tour of Homes on Saturday.
The Minot Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/t1mTre) that Andrew and Dani Solsvig wanted people to know that Christmas can be Christmas — even in a FEMA trailer.
Dani Solsvig says the couple always decorates for Christmas and she didn't want the tradition to stop because they're living in a trailer next to their flooded home.
She says they also like their cozy little home and wanted people to see that it isn't all that bad. She says it's nice to have a home instead of living out of a suitcase as they had to do following the flood.
Dani Solsvig says she used items she had on hand and decorations from a local store.
