Rice served from June 1970 to October 1973.
A Harwood veteran retires after 42 years of service. A ceremony in Fargo honored 60-year-old Senior Chief Petty Officer Dave Rice. Rice is the last Vietnam War Vet serving in the U-S Navy in North Dakota. Before his retirement, he was one of the last sailors still serving who saw combat in Vietnam.
Dave Rice – Vietnam Veteran: "It's been a very rewarding experience, I just made hundreds of friends over the years, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm really glad I entered."
Rice served from June 1970 to October 1973.
