How you get around downtown Fargo will soon change dramatically. After years of study the Fargo city commission approved a plan that will covert NP Avenue and First Avenue North into two – ways instead of one ways. The two-plus-one proposal leaves two lanes in the predominant direction they head today. Then has one in the opposite direction with room for a bike lane. Business owners supported the change. Commissioner Dave Piepkorn voted against the change saying he still has concerns about bike lanes and the impact on congestion. We'll start to see changes in the spring of 2013. The commission also approved a 25 cent rate increase for MAT Buses, bumping the total price to $1.50.
