MOORHEAD – One of two Minneapolis men accused of selling crack cocaine, which police found hidden in their rectums when they were arrested, pleaded guilty Monday in Clay County District Court.

Robert Russell Brent III, 22, pleaded guilty to third-degree controlled substance crime. As part of a plea agreement, four second-degree drug charges were dismissed.

Brent will serve prison time, but how much is unclear. Sentencing is set for Jan. 9.

The other man charged, Cedric Deon Hart, is set for sentencing on Jan. 19.

According to complaints filed in court, Moorhead officers were looking for a suspected crack dealer who sold to an informant when they arrested both men on felony warrants issued in Hennepin County, Minn.

Brent admitted in court Monday that when he was booked at the Clay County Jail, jailers found about 4 grams of cocaine hidden on him. The police complaint states jailers found nine baggies weighing 4.9 grams in Brent and 29 bags weighing 5.5 grams in Hart.
