HACKENSACK, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say the pilot who died in a helicopter crash in Cass County was a well-known regional developer and businessman.

Fifty-six-year-old John Zacher, of Hackensack, died when the chopper crashed into Ten Mile Lake on Thanksgiving. His wife, Vicki, was a passenger in the helicopter and managed to swim to shore. She was treated for hypothermia at a local hospital.

The Bemidji Pioneer says (http://bit.ly/tQrDG4) John Zacher's body was recovered Friday near the submerged wreckage about 150 feet from shore in 30 feet of water. Zacher was CEO of Unlimited Peak, which acquires and grows small to medium-sized companies.
