Here's one way you can clean out your closet and help save the landfill at the same time. Clay and Becker Counties are partnering for the Holiday Light Recycling Program. For the first time ever, you can recycle your old Christmas tree lights. Productive Alternatives-an employer for adults with disabilities will dismantle the lights, allowing the glass to be recycled and the copper to sold to scrap yards.

Shannon Thompson – Clay County: “Well it's a really unique program it's a great opportunity for residents to get rid of their Christmas lights and have it all be recycled and at the same time we employ adults with special needs.”
