The Bismarck Tribune reports authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 22-year-old Bismarck woman last seen New Year’s Eve night.

Mark Gaddis, Bismarck police detective, said Tristan Larie Crawford left Stanton, N.D., at 9 p.m. Friday night headed for Bismarck. Crawford texted a friend about 45 minutes later that she was turning back and has not been seen since. Gaddis said it is not known what route Crawford was taking.

Stanton is about 55 miles north-northwest of Bismarck along the Missouri River.

A Bismarck sergeant said at 10 p.m. Sunday that nothing had been found or heard from Crawford.

On Friday it was very cold around Bismarck, near and below zero, with high winds blowing snow around, causing hazy conditions, according to the National Weather Service and police.

Bismarck received more than 22 inches of snow in December, although not much fell late last week, about 1 inch total. However, nearly a foot was on the ground.

The police sergeant says Crawford is 5-foot, 5 inches tall, 110 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was driving a black 2007 Ford Focus with N.D. plates JAK 61.

Call Bismarck police at (701) 223-1212 or your local law enforcement agency with any information.
