BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm has revoked the license of a Minot insurance agent who pleaded guilty earlier this fall to defrauding insurance companies out of more than $800,000.

Authorities say Alan Henning stole the money by obtaining unauthorized loans and writing unauthorized checks to himself. He also was accused of removing records from his employer, West McLean County Mutual Insurance Co.

Hamm ordered Henning to stop doing business in North Dakota a year ago. Hamm on Tuesday said he revoked Henning's license after Henning waived his right to a hearing.
