Lake Park, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A Lake Park man, convicted of vehicular homicide, will be getting a new trial. Jeremy Nelson was convicted after the pickup he was driving hit an ATV, killing Christopher Carlson.
The Minnesota Court of Appeals has ruled the judge erred when he did not allow the jury to hear evidence Carlson was drinking. The appeals court says that's relevant to the cause of the crash. The accident happened in August of 2008.
