Halstad elevator goes up in flames

Halstad, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A historic staple in Halstad goes up in flames. The elevator started on fire around 10 this morning.

Halstad, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A historic staple in Halstad goes up in flames. The elevator started on fire around 10 this morning.

It was a controlled burn. State fire instructors came to train local firefighters from 11 departments.

They quickly put out the massive fire that could seen miles away. The 90 foot tall elevator had been empty for nearly three decades. It was built in the early 1900's.
