HERO sending medical supplies to Haiti

Medical supplies from area hospitals and clinics that typically would be headed to the landfill, are on their way to Haiti. Once again, the Haiti Medical Mission Team of Fargo-Moorhead is getting ready for another surgical visit to Haiti. This is the group's 15th year. At the HERO warehouse, more than 10,000 pounds of supplies were palleted and loaded up to be shipped to Haiti. The team of Fargo-Moorhead doctors will arrive in January to perform more than 45 operations.

Georgia Dufault – HERO/Haiti Medical Mission: “If HERO wasn't here doing what we are doing, all of these supplies would be in the garbage at the hospitals it is all stuff been charged out to here and at the end of the procedure it is trashed and comes to us.”
