Local alumni of Penn State are upset by the scandal that has rocked the university

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Local alumni of Penn State are devastated by the scandal that has rocked the prestigious university.

Jeanine Noce Larson is from the Pittsburgh area and now lives in Fargo. She graduated from Penn State in 2004.

Noce-Larson supports what the school is doing by firing many of its top leaders, including the famous coach. She says it's needed to slowly rebuild the trust of current, future, and past students.

Jeanine Noce Larson says,” Alumni donations are going to be drastically down. My family was going to be attending the football game this weekend and they're not going just because they don't feel that it's safe to be there right now with the turmoil going on with all of the students.”

Noce-Larson got an email from the interim president, updating her and other alumni about the situation.
