Faulty furnace named as cause of Moorhead house fire

Two people were in the house when the fire started. but no one was injured. A cat was found unresponsive, but a paramedic was able to revive the cat.

New information in connection with that overnight fire in Moorhead. It happened in a home at 2410 North River Drive. That is near the Moorhead Country Club. No one was injured in the fire. 5 members of the family were able to escape. Fire investigators say the cause of the fire is a furnace that was not working correctly. It released fuel oil that spilled on the floor and started on fire.
