Maris denied Hall of Fame bid

Cooperstown, NY (WDAY TV) - Many figured that Roger Maris' case for the Baseball Hall Of Fame would strengthen, this year being the 50th anniversary of his 61 home run season.

Many figured that Roger Maris' case for the Baseball Hall Of Fame would strengthen, this year being the 50th anniversary of his 61 home run season. That was not the case as the Hall of Fame unveiled the 10 men for on the Golden Era ballot, and Maris was not one of them. Maris' case now has to wait until 2014, the next time the ballot comes up.
