CASSELTON, N.D. – A 22-year-old Valley City woman was airlifted to a Fargo hospital after the SUV she was driving rolled on Interstate 94 a few miles west of Casselton late Wednesday, a State Patrol spokesman said.

Heather M. Wilson was driving eastbound about 10:49 p.m. when the tires of her 2002 Ford Explorer caught the median near mile marker 329. She then overcorrected as she tried to get back on the road, causing the vehicle to roll into the median, Rude said today.

Wilson was ejected from the vehicle, and due to her injuries was transported by helicopter ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Fargo, Rude said.

Wilson is being cited for driving under the influence, Rude said.

There were no other passengers in the vehicle, which was totaled, Rude said.
