If you were at a south Fargo grocery store this afternoon, you may have seen quite a spectacle: No coupon specials, No 2 for 1 deals. A haircut for a good cause. Teresa Pratschner is an employee at Hornbacher's. Each year, the store participates in the United Way Campaign for Cass-Clay Counties.
If the store raised $15,000 this year, Pratschner agreed to shave her head. The store did. So Pratchner stayed true to her word, and lost her locks.
Teresa Pratschner – Soutgate Hornbacher’s Employee: “And I didn't even think we'd ever come close, never in a million years did I ever think we'd come close. But I told my son this morning that a promise made is a promise kept so I did, he's not too happy about it, but I did it so.”
United Way hopes to raise five million dollars by the end of the year.
