Bismarck, ND (WDAY TV) -- When a person is diagnosed with cancer their life can change forever.
That's the case for one breast cancer survivor in Bismarck. Pat Saltsman was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. Since then, she's undergone a double mastectomy, six rounds of chemotherapy and has had 19 lymph nodes removed from under her right arm. Saltsman has been in remission for nearly two years. She didn't realize how much cancer could change her life.
Saltsman says, “My foot got a half size bigger. That is not a bad thing, I love buying shoes -- so there is no downfall there. And then my eyes got better."
