Now at the Roger Maris Cancer Center those that come are greeted by the dozens of hand prints of cancer survivors. Some hand prints display only a few months, others 18 years. They are all meant to symbolize survival during breast cancer awareness month. For survivors, they want the message of hope to be received by everyone.

Lisa Verworn – Breast Cancer Survivor: “If I can save one woman out there, to have them be more aware of their breast tissue and to start doing breast exams. It was worth it to me, it was worth it to do the cancer treatment.”

So far, there are 77 hand prints.
