A hearing is postponed for those challenging North Dakota's new medication abortion law. The Red River Women's Clinic in Fargo usually has protestors out front, either for or against abortion. But now, a national group, the Center for Reproductive Rights is fighting for the clinic. They filed a lawsuit against the medication abortion ban, saying the first trimester pill is safe, and research proves it. The state wants the clinic to follow FDA labels directions, but standard practices across the nation follow new, up-dated directions not approved by the FDA yet.
Tammi Kromenaker – Red River Women’s Clinic: "It would triple the price, it would require women to return to the clinic for a second visit to take medications and we believe that women are perfectly capable of taking medications in their own homes.”
The hearing should start again after the new year.
