JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of the inmate who died at the Stutsman County jail in Jamestown.
Stutsman County Deputy Jason Faulk tells KOVC radio that the inmate was 31-year-old Joshua Ellis of Thompson.
Police Capt. Gary Peterson tells The Jamestown Sun that the 31-year-old man was arrested about 3 a.m. Tuesday on charges pending in another county. Jail staff found him unresponsive about two hours later and performed CPR, but the man was pronounced dead at the Jamestown hospital.
Faulk says results from an autopsy on the cause of death will be released later.
