JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Jamestown High School football head coach Bill Cahill has resigned after 14 seasons.
Cahill compiled a 215-147 record in his coaching career, which included 23 years in Harvey. He tells The Jamestown Sun (http://bit.ly/sdQaCf ) that 37 years "is a long time" and he's been thinking of retiring for a while.
Jamestown lost all of its nine games this past season, but Cahill says that didn't factor into his decision.
Cahill's record at Jamestown was 52-84. Before joining the Blue Jays in 1998 he led Harvey to three straight state championship games.
