It's been a nightmarish two weeks for one Barnesville family. Police say the Andvik's are the victims of a serial arsonist, and this last fire may have proved to be the final straw.

The Andvik family has lived on this property for more than 120 years. Now after the 8th fire in less than two weeks, they're homeless, left asking the question: Why?

Matt Andvik – Lost Home in Fire: “You are just kind of living, constantly wondering what's next? Well, I guess this is next. To that point, there's not much more they can do.”

Tara Andvik was the only one home last night when she noticed her living room fill up with smoke. Her husband and two children had left just moments before.

Matt Andvik: “To a small child, they don't understand why somebody would set our house in fire. It's hard to explain, how you explain to them that all their toys and clothes are up in smoke.”

It started Friday the 7th with a grass fire, 12 hours later, another one. Last Wednesday morning their deck caught fire, hours later, their barn went up in flames On Monday, somebody set fire to three bushes around their house. And last night, shortly before 9, a patio fire in the back of the home. This time, the house was a total loss. This all comes on the heels of several violent and vicious comments on Tara Andvik's bowhunting Facebook page.

Matt Andvik: “It's one of those things that you don't think that just being on the computer, it's not going to escalate to just burning the house down.”

For now, the family is staying with relatives, unsure of what their future holds, but 8 fires later, thankfully the entire family is still in tact. Sheriff's deputies are examining every angle of these arsons, but don't have any suspects yet.

The Sheriffs Department was on hand all morning, snapping pictures and taking measurements. The sheriffs department says it's never seen anything like this. There are trail cams and surveillance video the department is currently combing over. The Sheriff' has not ruled out anyone as a suspect.

Bill Bergquist – Clay County Sheriff: “It's very aggravating. This poor family seems like it’s being targeted and we've put a lot of time and effort into it. Personally in my career, I've never seen anything like this.”
