JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — The co-owner of a Jamestown truck stop who was sentenced to serve 60 days behind bars in connection with a fire that destroyed the business was arrested after failing to report to jail.

Scot Soulis of Casselton last month pleaded guilty to a felony criminal conspiracy charge in the Feb. 3, 2010, blaze at the S&R Truck Plaza. He was given the jail time and ordered to pay about $575 in fines and fees and $100,000 in restitution.

The Jamestown Sun reports (http://bit.ly/n8tfye ) that a judge issued a warrant for Soulis' arrest on Oct. 7, and he was taken into custody three days later. A hearing is set Oct. 26 for Soulis to explain to the judge why he didn't show up to serve his sentence. Prosecutors say it is possible that Soulis could get extended jail time.
