PEMBINA, N.D. (AP) — A Pembina man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for shooting to death a Walhalla man.
A jury in August convicted Miguel Medina-Romero on murder and drug charges. Authorities say he shot and killed 19-year-old B.J. Kallis outside Medina-Romero's home in Pembina about a year ago, then called 911 claiming to have shot an intruder in self-defense.
