These new thermostats have just come out this fall and here at the Home Depot they've been selling very well as people embrace the advantages they get with this new technology. The thermostat has a Wi-Fi connection that allows access from the internet and with that to your smart phone.

Brian Kingsley – Best Buy: “It's an application called radio thermostat that you can actually have on an iPad and iPhone and it's available in the Android market. It's a free application, basically what it will let you do is, when you download it on to your phone or device, be able to control your system basically anywhere that you are.”

That means you can raise the temperature in your house on your way home or if your coming home later then expected keep the temperature down. The website claims you can save as much as 33% in heating and cooling costs. Plus you can make sure your furnace is still working if you’re out of town during the winter.
