SPIRITWOOD, N.D. (AP) — Authorities have identified a 3-year-old boy who was killed in a farm accident in southeast North Dakota.
Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin tells KOVC radio that Brayden McClean was sitting in a pickup truck Sunday night and slipped the gear shifter into neutral. The sheriff says the boy fell out of the pickup when it began rolling down a hill and was struck and killed.
Farmers on Tuesday were bringing 20 combines to the farm in the Spiritwood area to harvest 1,200 acres of soybeans for the family.
