Mandan, ND (WDAY TV) -- After the Missouri River flood forced it to move a Mandan pumpkin patch suffers another set back. The Mandan Fire Department is investigating a fire that started at Papa's Pumpkin patch around 4:30 Friday afternoon. One of the bale structures at the beginning of Papa's zip line caught on fire. Part-Owner Tracy Finneman says they noticed the fire right away and evacuated visitors from the area. There were no injuries. It took around an hour and half to put the fire out. Patch owner, Tracy Finneman, says, “we were able to pull the bales apart so we could contain it but the challenge is its straw and when straw gets wet it smolders." Finneman says they're still trying to figure how the fire started. But Papa's Pumpkin Patch is already back open for business.
