Valley City recall election to be held January 24th

Valley City, ND (WDAY TV) - Valley City residents will be headed back to the polls in January.

Valley City residents will be headed back to the polls in January. A special election to recall Mayor Bob Werkhoven and city commissioner Ken Evenson will be held on January 24th. The city that has been plagued by political turmoil, including the departure of long time police chief Dean Ross. Residents voted last week to keep the city administrators position after a petition drive to abolish it. City Administrator Jon Cameron announced his resignation the next day to take a city manager job in Texas.
