BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Fort Yates man has pleaded guilty to assaulting and resisting a federal officer.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Fort Yates man has pleaded guilty to assaulting and resisting a federal officer.
Authorities say 22-year-old Floyd Montclair resisted arrest and tried to flee from a Bureau of Indian Affairs officer who was investigating a vandalism report on Aug. 6. Officers eventually subdued Montclair with a Taser.
U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says Montclair faces up to eight years in prison and a $250,000 when he is sentenced on Jan. 5.
